I use the 8x10 stuff and it's great. I've dev'd it in ordinal and hc-110 h and got great results! The emulsion can be a little fragile when wet, so just be careful during dev.
Nikkor 105 will do you as well. Terrific lens.
I really love this one Sergei. Damn.

Part of a short series I did this holiday season with my family members and my Grandfather's favorite sweater.
Ektascan | Rodinal 1:100 | Ektar 12" 4.5 @ 8
I rate it at 125 when I dev it in HRX. I rate it at 100 when I soup it in Rodinal. I've never used hc-110 with Foma.

This is Foma 200 35mm in Spur HRX.
I just bought a box of 50 sheets from Freestyle (short date special) before I head to Korea for a year. I shot the stuff in 35mm and really liked it developed in Spur HRX. I'm hoping I have a similar...
That's great to know.
Cheers, Dave!
Hey all, I'm curious if anyone has travelled with X-Ray Film.
I have a box of Ektascan that I'd like to take with me when I move to S. Korea and then to a few other places when we do some travel. ...

Another shot, this time at ISO 100 developed in Rodinal 1:100 for 7:30 rotary.
You're dead on, Sergei! Thank you!
Sergei, I'm pretty sure both sheets were loaded with the emulsion facing the right way. Maybe "solarizing effect" was a bad way for me to describe it, but I think if you look at my image and your...

My first 8x10 shot and first X-ray shot! Question for X-ray shooters: Why is this showing up almost solarized? Is it the film or a scanning issue?

I worked around mine on an Agfa-Ansco 8x10. Basically the same type of set-up.
I use SPUR HRX and I think it's gives exceptional results for both FP4 and HP5.
The Agfa-Anasco 8x10 can also be had for around $400 w/o a Lens. I paid just over $280 for mine.
Thanks, but I think the PL5 and birch board combo is going to take care of it!
John,
This was actually found (and subsequently purchased) from eBay :)
Mental how good this is. Well done!
Thank you Bob, that's incredibly helpful!
I should have mentioned that I've built a 15" x 5" birch plywood platform that connects the two tripod sockets and has a third socket centered over a decent balance point for most uses with my 12"...

As my restoration of an Agfa-Ansco 8x10 camera comes to a close, I'm trying to put together the final pieces to make shooting the portrait project I've put together work as smoothly as possible.

They're such good guys and I'm so glad they found a new location.
It's mental how beautiful this is.
Really terrific. I'm waiting on bellows for my first 8x10 and have a box of br/a waiting in the fridge. Your portraits on the stuff are great and have me excited to start shooting.
Will, I PM'd you!
Thank you, your stiffening board is a terrific idea. I'll also keep my eye out for an A-A tripod and see if that doesn't work.
Hi All!
I'm toward he end of a restoration of an old Agfa-Ansco 8x10 Commerical and apart from the bellows, everything is done. I've got it mounted on my tripod and I'm now realizing that I'm...
