I'll agree with the Tin Man and say its your vision, go for it. Definitely not my vision of the Canyon, but I never did get a decent image for all the time I spent there. We all see and experience...

Re: Ilford FP4 Plus 125 developing help

I assume you meant two negatives look pretty dark -- is that correct? If a negative is dark (dense, hard to see through), then that negative got more exposure than the negatives that are 'thinner'...

  11. Re: 8x10 Tripod that Won't Break the Bank, But May Break my Back

An old Majestic with the gear head would be perfect -- beefy, tough, heavy and awkward to carry. Several models. I picked one up at a yard sale for $25 -- I just needed to pound the shaft straight...
  12. Re: Your Best Photograph from the Previous Month - Critique and Discussion Encouraged

  13. Re: Your Best Photograph from the Previous Month - Critique and Discussion Encouraged

Wonderful use of the light -- I assume that a print would have more detail in the whites of the steps than I see on the screen -- I see good texture there on the screen as it is.

  16. Re: My Omega Condensers have scratches - any negatives (hah) with using a diffuser?

I will confirm this -- I had a bank of D5-XLs that I maintained and I had to sometimes move the condensers around to avoid a scratch on the flat surface from being too close to the negative and would...

I prefer my old Calumet darkcloth. White on one side, black on the other, not too light, not too heavy. Simple 3'x4'. I've worn it over my shoulder when got out at night.

    Re: 8x10 tray processing

    Re: Print contrast issue

If you decide to intensify, and if the negative has enough meat to it, selenium toning is safe. Soak bath, tone 1:4 to completion, rinse, HCA, wash.

    But good luck in printing!
