welcome to the LFP forum. An Ebony is surely a very nice lightweight camera, although I'd suggest you consider a monorail unless you're planning on walking long distances with it....

Recently I bought a 65mm f8 Super Angulon that came in a #00 synchro-compur that I want to use on my 4x5 Cambo SC.

I have been keepeing an eye on the auction site, but finding a #00 recessed board...

polarizer, yellow #8 & red #25

during my first two years doing LF I metered with my 35mm Canon Rebel XS and had pretty good results using the zoom to meter smaller areas (probably getting about 10 degrees in the center at 80mm).

last week I had my first solo exhibition "La música y la luz" (the music & the light) at Kiosco del Arte in Hermosillo, Mexico.

I use Tiffen (POL, yellow #8 & red #25), works fine and I can't pay more.

while not new, I did a still life last month with a 75mm EL-NIKKOR and it worked pretty well with great magnification-

another vote for Tiltall, it supports my cambo SC 4x5.

I'm no expert, but have used this procedure to calibrate my ZS and you got it right: testing is only good for the film / developer/paper you're using

and I may add to that: developer agitation...

I always expose 2 sheets with the same shutter & fstop and adjust developing time for the second sheet after proofing the first.
