  5. Re: Using a Rodenstock Centre Filter on a Schneider Lens?

It’s not a problem with Heliopan, Rodenstock or Schneider center filters.
  6. Re: Using a Rodenstock Centre Filter on a Schneider Lens?

That is just an empty 67mm filter ring. Much too thick for the problem.

Re: Ebay - lenses from Japan

No, German lenses use Japanese shutters ever since Prontor Werke discontinued their shutters. Most German lenses over the past half century also used Japanese shutters as they were as reliable but...

Re: How Many Pros use LF?

I wonder how many of those rolls of paper were used that last day and what happened to whatever was left over?
  9. Re: Anyone know the story on when the Master Technika became the Master Technika Clas

    2000 was the first.
  10. Re: Anyone know the story on when the Master Technika became the Master Technika Clas

The Master Technika was never discontinued. They added Classic to the name when they introduced the 3000.

The EMS did not work and they were all recalled by the factory.
    We had one or two...

    Re: 210mm 4x5" ... Which one?

John and Adolph were good friends, I always enjoyed calling on them.
You have to remember the Schneider of today was bought out of bankruptcy by Mandermann shortly after that time. The predecessor...

    Re: 210mm 4x5" ... Which one?

Your history has big holes in it.
Back in 76 EPOI was the US distributor of Sinar as well as Nikon. I was with EPOI back then. We primarily “sold” Schneider lenses as our competitor, Berkey Photo...
  16. Re: Black exterior painted Linhof Technika...

They were made because we asked the factory for them and agreed to buy them in 50 piece lots. As the black finish was the same as the finish on the Kardan and Technorama cameras we knew that the...

    Re: Inexpensive 4x5 field cameras

One reason accessories for a TK are relatively rare is because so many features were built in that they weren’t necessary.
As for bellows prices. It seems that that bellows maker in the UK makes...

    Re: 210mm 4x5" ... Which one?

The N is not sharper in the middle. The S outperforms the N in all respects, resolution, less distortion, better color curves, etc. the only advantage of the N, to some users, is it’s smaller and...

    Re: Insurance Questions

You wouldn’t want your social security number all over the place today. Your last name would be enough.
  28. Re: Lens boards for Wista 45D - same as Technica?

It is in the same position as Linhof’s boards so when all camera movements are zeroed the lens is centered on the film.
  29. Re: Liesegang Janar 480mm f/3.8!!! more info???

Looks like you have a lens from a Liesegang opaque projector.
  30. Re: Lens boards for Wista 45D - same as Technica?

As long as the LInhof board is for the IV, or later, it fits the Wista. If it is from a III it will not fit.
  31. Re: Beginner question about lens mounted in the 'wrong' shutter

Almost, but if you are measuring through the gg you must remember that the gg absorbs some light so you must factor that loss into your reading as a filter factor. Additionally, if you are too close...
  32. Re: Beginner question about lens mounted in the 'wrong' shutter

It’s in the correct shutter but that shutter has an aperture scale from a different lens.
You will note that the aperture scales are attached to the shutter with two small screws.

Hi Bob, I have the same question about these 3 cameras, serial numbers:

    79266 Super Technika V 1963

    62090 Technika III 1950
    Thanks in advance
  37. Re: Why some lenses have a "haze" on GG and some look clear?

  38. Re: Why some lenses have a "haze" on GG and some look clear?

Right. Thee other day my oldest grandson’s fiancé plopped down on the couch, pulled out her iPhone and plugged it in to a convenient charger cord.
After an hour I asked her if she was charging her...

Just to be sure, you don’t have a filter on either the front or the back of your lens in question?
