A potential option would be to use a slip-on series filter adapter.
Randomly selected from random LF shutter service manuals (Graphex and Synchro Compur):

Kodak didn’t offer examples either.
I just use slower film to avoid the entire controversy.
I haven't yet used it on a Graflex SLR, only on a Speed Graphic. As mentioned earlier, the tall hood of the RB might be a problem. The loupe needs to be against the GG. That, in practice, might make...

I have no connection with the manufacturer or any specific vendor, other than being...
Interesting. A rather complicated table, though. If I read it correctly, Stroebel is generally consistent with Kodak except Stroebel works in units of 1/4 second and Kodak in units of 1/3 second.
...
I think the Fair Use Clause permits limited reproduction for academic purposes, which this probably is because nobody is seeking profit from Stroebel’s work, but I respect your position.
Does...
Ain't that the truth!
But in terms of terminology, I've never heard the term "shutter inefficiency" and always heard it as "shutter efficiency". Not picking on you, Michael (and not really...
Shutter efficiency is an important consideration when using flash bulbs. I’ve never in my life heard it’s a significant consideration for normal daylight photography no matter what aperture is being...
That sounds like a really worthwhile project, although I'd think about buying a view camera and using it in his honor rather than building one. But that's just me... building might take more time. ...
LOL… I know what John means but “drag”, if I’m not mistaken, is a digital camera term; As a predominantly film photographer I still don’t exactly understand it. Using slower shutter speed I...
This discussion of shades/hoods thrills me. It happens so seldom. For my first few years of MF and LF photography I shot without them but for the past 45 years I always use one. Sometimes it seems...
Will you be able to show us images taken with this lens before and after the blacking replacement?
Agree. My Schneider 210 Symmar has a fair amount of Schneideritis but I’ve not noticed degradation compared to the performance I remember when it was new. Perhaps some are much more critical than me…...
I wouldn't characterize your observation as "out of touch" but it is such a small sample size that valid conclusions about "the market" are not likely.
I think a lot of the price variation is a...
I think the company formally lasted until 2000. The CEO/President was Mrs Paraas, but I forgot her first name. Not much seems known about them or their company.
EDIT: HERE......
No... it's square.
Not “cheap”; you are trying to be THRIFTY. Commendable, as is knowing how to decide which option is really the thriftiest option! You will enjoy that lens when the shutter is overhauled.
Doesn’t your camera shop have a repair capability, in-house or via contract?
You definitely seem to have a focus issue. Two recommendations I can offer are (1) use a heavier tripod and (2) look at a DOF table. Portraits with LF are hard enough so eliminating possible sources...
No wonder some folks just ask questions, and some even refusing to believe correct answers!
People learn different ways. While I don’t disagree with the original premise… it makes us sound like a bunch of grumpy old farts. Me included; I especially get peeved at questions about advanced...
620 and 122 film spools
Isn't Jello needed too?
If you are still interested in this question, would you please clarify what you mean by "universal". I might help everyone understand and answer the question better... and keep the thread from...
That's very funny. Perhaps you should have swapped and let her push YOU out and see if anyone noticed. LOL
I wonder if painting a tripod white with red tips would change the situation in places...
What are some of the easy examples? I certainly haven’t encountered any and finding it difficult to think of some.
Your own home or the home of a friend. Other than that I can’t think of any place that has “universal” anything.
Golly… you practically need a hunting license to wield that rig!
Given the low “frame rate” of LF it might be a very challenging exercise in decisive moment. But the results ciujj look s be spectacular.
What aperture did you use? With some subjects there is an unconscious tendency to move during the LF process. I’ve never been ableto photograph my wife with either MF or LF.

Almost always nothing to be worried about. Often only seen is shining a light though the lens into your eye. It seems too many folks try to clean this but it’s simply not worth the investment in...
LOL. If only…
I think what would be appropriate proof” is a spec sheet or advertisement that confirms the issue… wouldn’t you agree, as an engineer ? Observation and expert judgement is good sometimes but...
Thanks. Saw the post but didn’t remember the name.
