Of course, but the idea was to avoid having to swap bellows.
I found the TK a little finicky in that respect.

I think the Technikardan 45 s is one of the best 4x5 cameras ever made. Comparing it to most other cameras is pointless, not so much because of its excellence (there are several equally excellent...
Hugo,
I don't shoot ULF so feel free to poke fun at my comment, but on 8x10 I've always used 10" or 12" lenses for portraits.
I tried longer lenses, such as 14", 15" and 16", but always felt...
I use a 2009 Mini as a back-up. It got upgraded to 8Gb RAM and a 250Gb SSD, works like a charm.
There are later Minis that will accept more RAM. For instance, the 2012 i7 models would be a great fit...
150XL is hard to beat, but the price...
Glad I got mine when prices were saner.
There is fall-off in the corners, as Bernice says, but it's easily corrected with a Schneider Digital Center Filter,...
Pjotr, I'm going to assume you're in Europe.
Try calling MAC Group in NY, 914-347-3300.
They have distribution networks in Europe, and can point you to replacement parts.
Opens in Safari for me, at least now. It didn't this morning.
Mike, good to hear from you. I welcome any and all inquiries and questions.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to let you know about our last sale of the year, happening now until January 4.
FLM tripods are at 15% off, ball heads, clamps and plates are at 10% off. B&H, Adorama,...
I had a small crack in a 3005, and marine epoxy fixed it.
I've gotten pretty good at making my own lens caps.
I use the dark slide to shade the lens when needed.
No extra things to remember or forget.

Eric, those are both terrific. Simple, understated and effective.
Thanks, Randy.

Nice photo, indeed, and good to find out what others are dong in cold weather. It'll be upon us soon.
Winter came early in the prairies this year.
Hey, I didn't know you were on this forum. I really enjoyed your dark box build.
I made something very similar based on your design.
Great work getting the paper neg to come out looking so good!
Thanks, Jason. I'm lovin' that drone.
Here's a couple more

Thanks, guys.
Thank you, Steven. Very helpful.
Has anyone successfully removed the middle element, if so, how was it done?
Thanks, Steve. I have an expert looking at it right now, so it's safely out of my hands.
The middle lens removal had me stumped when I tried, and I wanted to know if anyone succeeded in removing it,...
Not much information on the internet - a little, but not enough, so I thought I'd ask here.
I have a Cooke knuckler, a 12.75" f/4.5 Series II lens, looks exactly like this one (minus the shine):

Facebook's format is really annoying, glad I shut everything down a few years ago.
It isn't really conducive to in-depth replies and information, more of a "Just put it in H!" kinda forum.

I'm well aware of your nighttime wanderings with the frankencamera you built. Wonderful work, you're a true night-shot devotee.
Thanks, Jeff, much appreciated coming from you.
We don't get too many foggy nights here, so this was from the hip with an iPhone, but there's lots of room for improvement and interpretation.

For what it's worth, I find your third scan to be less sharp than the first two. At least it shows that way on my monitor.
Hi Eric,
Thank you for the sterling recommendation and for your suggestion as well.
You can tighten the two screws on either side of the "knuckle" and adjust the tightness to your taste.

Computar 210 f/9 is probably the best lens for 8x10 before things get spendy, i.e., a 210XL or Grandagon 200. Still available in shutter for under $1K.
It has a ~440mm image circle and is very sharp...
Let us know how it goes, Christopher.
As long as you mix the powders as instructed, you'll be good.
Christopher, I've had consistent results processing in Jobo 3005 tank mounted on a rolling base.
The C-41 chemicals I use are the Tetenal press kit:...
Thanks, tuco. Your photos make me miss the west coast.
Thanks, Peter.
