    This is what the bottom of the 45 Technika IV looks like (pretty similar to the V and Master as well).
    they both move and share a spring. Tension/grip is adjusted by the eccentric washer...

    The 13x18 plate back with the Linhof Munchen oval logo dates from 1950-1953 and was replaced with a fixed spring back until the IV in 1957. The IV back was improved over the early style spring back....

    True, I just use the 135mm as a baseline for what can fit and most wides have will have larger diameter ends... May have to just use the old-fashioned Angulon or a contemporary wide field Ektar or...

    The Zeiss 135mm Planar just fits inside (on a special lensboard to help it to do so) so I would suggest searching to see if anything is of a similar or smaller dimension...

    As you say 1936 is a good estimate. The Linhof Munchen with Munchen in outline style engraving shows up in late 1934 and is replaced with the "Eagle Eye" Linhof...
