scott, yeah thats about right, 300mm or so extension with the 105 I have (rodenstock). I tried the tominons - I must have ones from a bad batch. In great condition and using them in the correct way...
As mentioned - the shorter the lens, the more difficult to light something. If using a reversed enlarging lens, try a 105mm or more.
