Sorry BS Kumar / Tin Can - it wasn't either of those two. If I recall correctly this was likely done during the 90's - and I vaguely recall that he used a very heavy metal door (perhaps a safe door?)...

Was thinking back to some reporting on Andreas Gursky, where he apparently used to shoot in 5x7, and then enlarge to an 11x14 negative ... and then scanned...

How much detail would be lost enlarging a 4x5 black and white negative, to a 8x10 negative?
Or would it vary a lot according to film type, developer<method etc?

Actually, was interested in exploring pixel shift of BNW 4x5.... Unsure if can/should convert the DSLR to BNW via Bayer removal... On quick read has both advantages and disadvantages..... Though...
