    Re: Anyone using a Shen-Hao 8x10?

    Luis,

Just to be clear, "a Deardorff" is singular... :D

However, as a V8 owner I can understand the enthusiasm, just never been able to justify more.

    Best wishes,

  2. Re: Best long lenses usable with Linhof Master Technika

To be clear, that is with a flat lens board.

A "top hat" lens board should get you closer, or allow use of a longer lens.
  3. Re: Best long lenses usable with Linhof Master Technika

    Ethan,

With about 16" of bellows draw, it will be capable of managing a 14" (360mm) non-telephoto lens.

My Technika V with a dialyte-type 355mm Repro-Claron can focus to about 10 feet., but...

    Re: Enlarger sizing

    Peter,

It is simply the magnification equation...

Enlarger Negative Stage, Lens & Baseboard Distances => u=v*F/(v-F)=F*(M+1)/M or v=u*F/(u+F)
    where,
u = lens to negative distance (inches)
    v...
