I like the way the logs point to the object in the water (whatever it is). Very effective composition.

That 58 mm really gives you a lot of view. Have you tried a crop at sides and bottom to bring the image more back to the palace itself. Might be stronger?

I'm not shooting color transparencies anymore so the light box quality problem is way in my past. I still have my trusty and cheap Bretford Acculight light box, which in side-by-side testing matched...

Austin - Both of the Mt Hamilton images are really intriguing, one because it invites you to step off the edge, the other because it doesn't try to show the entire mountain.

What a nice way to use a foggy day. I like the competing styles of the foreground and background subjects - there's a lot to look at here, but not in a disorganized way.
  8. Re: Photo travel by vehicle, what's your favorite?

Ditto on the Subaru Forester, ours is a real trooper even in deep snow. However, a few years ago I decided I wanted to sleep in my vehicle as I got tired of crawling in and out of a tent. I got a...
  9. Re: Ilford Darkroom Printing Survey 2019 Results

I'm surprised that the majority of darkroom printers were under age 44. That gives me hope that Ilford will have a continuing customer base to keep them in business.
