I only have Fidelity elite and Toyo. For me, film position in the Fidelity is easier, always in the right spot, whereas the Toyo has more space to miss dead-centre. The toyo, with its slight texture...
Though new here myself, I am already repeatedly banging the drum for rails in backpacks. I've not once thought "I wish I had a folder".

Vaughn, I really like the complexity there, and that the view of the skyline is better defined in the reflection than in itself.
This one below made me want a longer lens... a bit too much dead...
Thank you!
I am definitely part of the most who wouldn't normally consider a shot like this, but am trying to stretch myself in that way. Next is using shallower depth of field.

Wonderful idea for a city park... I wish we had something similar here. Kids would love it.
Really nice images, too :)
Yep, looks quiet, still... and I like it.

Checking the lens wide open on my new to me early 1950s Fujica folder. The portability of this camera, combined with great rangefinder and very good lens are exactly what I was looking for.

FrancisR that is an arresting image! Portra 160 with come bold tones there. Great shot.
ran a test roll of proimage 100 through an old and unloved Voigtlander VITO CSR yesterday. The color-lantham lens really did a nice job with contrast, I thought. no battery, so metered with a little...

Thats a good question, Alan and I have to say I don't know the answer. The preview scan is certainly faster and sounds different, but the scan itself sounds the same as when i use the film holder...
Hey Rich, I'm a beginner myself with flatbed scanning (and the rest of this workflow) but thought I'd let you know that I turn everything off except the unsharp mask, which is set to medium.

Your images inspired me to get back out with my DSLR last night, mate!
I won't go back to spending so many nights out, but I do hope to find some balance.
Thank you, mate! Astro was a whole lot of fun.
One of my most recent astro pics, noting that Corran is showing some nice stuff here!
