What a great loss ! My condolences to Paula. May his memory be eternal !
You can reduce the extra expenses by carrying, say, 5-10 boxes, and
buying the balance there, assuming some European outfit carries Tri-X.
Seize the moment!! G.A.S. up to 11x14..... 14x17, better still !!
Frost River is the company, 'Lewis & Clark' is the backpack....
Hi Bruce,
Everything I ordered arrived. Many thanks & enjoy your retirement !
Bill
Greetings,
I'd commit to 4 boxes each of 8x10, 12x20 & 14x17. If the manufacturer can/would cut 16x20 also, I'd add 4 additional boxes of this latter size as well.
Hope it happens !
Bill
In my opinion, better to go with a 14x17 & add a 11x14 reducing back.
Have you considered the 305 G-Claron? Unless you need the speed....
Bill
I agree with 'Chrome: 16x20. And his math is about right.
A mounted B&W print 14x17 and larger can be something to behold!
Bill
Greetings !
I just received an email from Keith Canham re. his latest efforts to secure enough orders for 5x7 T-MAX 400 film. He's short about two dozen boxes to reach the minimum required by...
good start, now let's see the various ULF sizes.
Let's hope they do the same with CHS 25!
Hi Jim,
Your package arrived on Monday. Many thanks! I'd be interested in 2 more 8x10 Acros (no immediate rush).
Bill
Hi Jim,
I just emailed you back.
Thx,
Bill
Hi Jim,
Happy and Healthy! New Year! If possible, I'd like to be included in your generous offer. Whatever you can do.
Many thanks,
Bill
Yes. Plus Chamonix.
Re. ULF, Canham's standard bellows, I believe, is longer; but if you go with Ritter's, he can build the camera to accept longer bellows.
Scott,
Great image! Can you provide info on the chemistry you used?
Thanks,
Bill
Andrew,
Can you post it as well?
Thanks,
Bill
If you have the wall space, why not 14x17?
What Michael said above, so stay tuned...... At best, it probably will be a new version of Agfapan; and most likely ISO100 first, then perhaps ISO25 later. Good chance it will be available in most LF...
Dan,
I'd skip 11x14 and go to 14x17. Most of your lenses (stopped down) will cover that format. Check with Hugo Zhang: there are photographers in S Cal that shoot 14x17.
Obviously not cheap, in...
Fantastic image !! Well done, Stephane.
Update:
6 boxes are now spoken for. We need 4 more to complete the order.
Anyone else?
Thanks,
Bill
Call the main number and ask for Andreas. You can also email him: info@fotoimpex.de
Someone on this forum can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Efke/Adox is the same film.
Bill
I believe so. The Fotoimpex people made be associated with them, businesswise. I'm sure someone on this forum will chime in with more information.
Furthermore, I should mention that I'm interested...
Greetings,
I'm interested in ordering some 14x17 CHS 25 Adox film, and I've been in touch with Fotoimpex in Berlin. Minimum order is 10 boxes, with 25 sheets per box. Price per box is 168 Euros,...
Jeff or Jim @ Labwork. B&W only, located in Cleveland.
I live in Cleveland Hts. Also, contact Jeff @ Labwork in downtown Cleveland. He does B&W work there.

Soon after the new version of TMY came out, I think (but not sure) Sandy King did an analysis and comparison of it with TMX. Perhaps Sandy can chime in.:)
If I remember correctly, there's little...
I believe Richard K in Toronto will be using that format very soon.
He'll probably respond to this thread in short order.
BILL
For those interested:
Keith Canham has just posted another special order for 16x20 T-Max 400 film.
Order deadline is mid-March, with an end of February deadline to use a coupon discount.

Hey, Tri !
Welcome to the 'club' !
Bill
Happy Birthday, Bruce !
Hope You're Feeling Better.
Wishing You A Happy & Healthy New Year.
Bill:)
I, too, agree with John.
In fact, we spoke about this very point earlier today: If a LF photographer wants to protect his investment (camera, lenses, etc.), he'd better be somewhat aggressive in...
Except if they included it in their LF and ULF program, in which case there might a lot of interest in it, given Kodak's huge minimums.
At that price, count me in for 3 boxes.
Thanks for your efforts,
BILL
Just wondering: how many ULFs out there shoot 1620? I know of three. Are there more? Please identify yourselves.
BILL
Congrats, Hugo!
Welcome to the 1620 Club !
