    Re: existing daylight processing equpiment

I spend my days improving processes and machinery for a very large oilfield services firm. I've done it for several different industries. One of my close friends is a CE who designs control loops....

    Re: ASMP is Pro-SOPA

DMCA doesn't have much jurisdiction over foreign companies or individuals. They are foreign. Blocking people in the US from seeing the images and movies that foreigners have stolen doesn't stop them...

Re: Well its official-Kodak files for bankruptcy

Being as EK handed the keys to an asset management company rather than people who know the business, their direction will be based on the opinions of accountants who never leave their office. I see...
  5. Re: Would Kodak have a chance if they just produced film & chemistry?

Exactly. The company has gotten lazy and in the habit of whining about the good ole days instead of working on the business they do have. For heavens sake they made digital. They got lazy on that too...
  6. Re: Would Kodak have a chance if they just produced film & chemistry?

At this point I think we've about bottomed out of the run away from film in the stills market. I don't know anyone, full time pro, hobbyist, or snapshooter; who is waiting for the right time to...
  7. Re: Would Kodak have a chance if they just produced film & chemistry?

  8. Re: Would Kodak have a chance if they just produced film & chemistry?

That may not seem like much to Kodak and Wall Street, but that is a huge market potential for many smaller companies. That kind of revenue puts you almost into the Fortune 500 range. We're talking...

Talked with a CE friend of mine yesterday. Another thought was to put the radiator end into the bath and attach the heat sink to the outside of a metal container of ice water. Heat sink would...

    JOBO CPE-2 hack

I bought a CPE-2 last week and now that it's here it got the gears a rolling on my head. I'm in Texas with summers a bit on the warm side, so not having the cooling system of the CPP may be an issue...

Still trying to get back into the groove of film. Here's some leftovers from the recent wildfires in our area of Texas.

  15. "share your recent plunge into LF" Hope you're ready to read.

Dipping my toes in the water, and it feels pretty good. Of course, that could just be because I've lost count of how many days we've hit over 100f here in Texas.

It took a few false starts, long...

I've used a pair of Calumet Travelites extensively over the past 18 months. They're solid and can be picked up used at a decent discount. I like the modifier mounts better that Elinchroms or Paul...
