    Re: Smaller Fomat Nudes

Here's an image I tried using a 24 mm F/2.8 AIS lens. Normally, I use significantly longer lenses, for photographing people, and wanted to try something different. Portra 160 with a polarizing...

If you hadn't mentioned that it was smoke from wildfires, I'd think this image was made on a quiet, foggy morning. It looks peaceful, if you don't know the backstory.

  8. The FIND Lab, any experiences?

Has anyone used the The FIND Lab for E-6 processing and scanning? If so, how were the results?

    Re: 35mm and digital infrared

Nice work, I really like the puffy clouds in the first image. They give it the classic summer day look that I remember as kid on summer vacation. The point-of-view of the second image makes it seem...

So do I; I have done some IR work with people. Maybe I'll dig-out a few images and post them. I really like color infrared film, and have been playing with Kodak HIE, too.

    Re: old film

I shot a 35mm roll of Kodak Plus-X (also a 125 speed film) that expired in 1958 (!) that came-out just fine. I increased the exposure, but had the lab process it normally. I would definitely give...

Interesting image, the 61 second exposure allows nice movement of the trees. What is/was this structure used for?

They definitely create an interesting texture and repeating pattern. I think the shadows from the other trees help accentuate that texture. What about the scene changed, since you had scouted it?

Re: Arista EDU Ultra 100 vs 200?

Black spots are holes in the emulsion that allow light to pass and turn the paper black. White spots are dust or something that blocks light from reaching the paper, leaving it white. Foma sheet film...

Re: Arista EDU Ultra 100 vs 200?

That's a neat image! I'd like to try photographing lightning, but have never really gotten the chance. Do you leave the shutter open, on bulb, and wait or did you "just get lucky?"
