Re: 135 Omegaron vs 162 Kodak?

If the Kodak is the Ektanon definitely go with it. If it is the Anastigmat then test it against the Omegaron. You may find that you like using the longer lens. I had an Omegaron and thought it was...

  4. Re: Lenses to fit inside a Busch Pressman

The 135 Sironar-N and the 210 Geronar are among the more recent lenses and the 210 Geronar that I used with my Pressman was like new and very inexpensive (and, being a very late design triplet and...
  5. Re: Lenses to fit inside a Busch Pressman

    A quick search turned up the following as fitting in camera: 90 Angulon, 135 Steinheil Culminar, 135 Sironar-N, 150/5.6 Symmar Convertible, 150 Caltar-II S, 150 Geronar, 150/6.3 Fuji-W, 203/7.7 Kodak...
  6. Re: convert standard film holder to Graflex lipped holder

It took me a long time to find just one holder but I only use it to have an alternate film choice to the bagmag.
  7. Re: Any thoughts as to source of light leak based on this picture?

If you had the holder loaded in the camera from the left side (dark slide pulled out to the left) then you pulled the holder away from the camera while pulling or replacing the slide. Notice that the...
  8. Re: Looking for info on a Goerz 14 inch lens.

So if you follow that down, US 2 is f/5.5. Besides Dagors, I have a Syntor and several Dogmars. My 420mm f/5.5 Dogmar (like the others) is convertible. In this case 420/588/672.

  10. Re: W. Butcher & Son, Rapid Rectilinear

This thread got me curious and I believe I have tracked my Aldis-Butcher 7 inch f/3.4 lens to a 1930ish (Houghton-Butcher) Ensign Special Reflex quarter plate camera. Having done that I guess I am...

I guess the easiest way to tell it is a P-39 Airacobra from an early P-63 Kingcobra in this shot is the curved approach to the vertical fin.

  25. Re: Lensboards for Macro Stereo :confused::confused:

Mark, I'm sure you know the Macro Realist just had closer spaced lenses and the 4 lens Nimslo could be used for macro by putting a diopter on the 2 inner lenses. Otherwise I think it would just be...

Re: Wanderlust Travelwide - still alive?

Lugging a tripod around with a TW kind of defeats the whole idea. A very light monopod, if you must, will be just fine.

Where is zebra? Ah, Zebra Slot Canyon in Grand-Staircase Escalante. Nope, never heard of it before this, but the only slot canyon I ever photographed in definitely needed a wide lens.

Re: New to me 6 Old Lenses

I see it in the little ad for the Beck Autograph series as a Rapid Rectlinear for 6.5x8.5 and 11 I/2 inch would be about standard for a 6.5x8.5. Should be a nice RR.

Re: Question about JOBO expert drums

    Re: Aperture indicator not aligned

You could call it a feature that automatically adjusts the exposure by stopping down a bit to compensate for the shutter actually being slower than marked;-)
  34. Re: Ilex Paragon Anastigmat Series S 12 inch FL

It is my belief that the f/6.3 Tessars are considered to have higher image quality than their f/4.5 cousins.
