Re: Music as analogy for LF photography

For me, there's definitely a connection between music and my photography. I think I make the strongest connections with symphonic music, definitely partly because that's what I grew up listening to a...

That's really weird, I was under the impression all dagor variants were 6 element. Not that its of any consequence, but could it have been re housed in a dagor barrel?

I just found a pamphlet about the Dogmar, but with the Celor being a symmetric design it will probably work better. Many thanks!

Are you sure it was a dagor? All dagors are 6 element double anastigmat style (same as plasmat) to my knowledge. Dagor is an abbreviation of "Doppel Anastigmat GOeRz" I believe.

thanks for your suggestion. Are there any repro clarons faster than f/9? thats what most of them seem to be, but if there are faster ones I might give it a shot.

Are there any fast Dialyte ~10" lenses

    Hey guys,

I'm searching for a lens to use for UV alt process enlargements. I've been talking with a guy who has already built a UV enlarger, and he has found that uncoated dialyte lenses are the...

    Re: Biggest Camera Race....ON!

I saw that as well. For me it would be fun to shoot with a 20x24, but I think 8x10 is best suited to my workflow. Maybe 11x14 someday

  18. Re: Which Camera is Thomas Struth using here - please advice

  20. Re: Which Camera is Thomas Struth using here - please advice

I'd also say its a Philips Compact 8x10, rather than the explorer. Based on the images I've seen of the explorer (https://www.largeformatphotography.info/phillips.html) It had the corners chamfered...
  21. Re: Which Camera is Thomas Struth using here - please advice

based on the bellows extension, and that its an 8x10 camera, I'd say its one of the super wide 150s. The two most common of those are the Schneider Super Symmar XL 150 f/5.6 and the Nikkor SW 150...
  22. Re: Does a Photograph's medium change your opinion of it?

How fast can an enlarger shutter be fired?
