  1. Re: Neutral Density Filters with V54 Cold Light head

I'd agree that the ND filters for multigrade printing could be probably anything close to ND, but if concerned, I have read the Rosco Cinegel are more closely color neutral.

Not sure why you are having the exposure inconsistency. The thermostat in my Aristo kept it pretty even temp. between prints, but it heated up during it's typical long exposures with contrast filters...

    Re: Need densitometer reading

Do you have a spot meter. Place the negative in question over your spotmeter's lens. Every 1/3 of a stop the spotmeter reading drops represents 0.1 log d. Or every stop represents 0.3 log d.

    I...
  7. Re: Should I get a center filter for my 65mm Nikon-SW f/4 & 90mm Sinaron-W f/6.8?

I don't think you need complexity and expense of photoshop, during printing just burn the center with some cardboard.

Re: Need Guidance on Getting a Sensitometer

To plot the results from the sensitometer, you will need to know the values of the step wedge. Is it built-in to the 383? If so you will need to remove it to measure it with your densitometer. I had...

LED sensitometers work fine for comparative testing most black and white panchromatic films. Analogy is a 'balance' where you have to place objects on both dishes to compare things.
