    Re: Compound shutter main spring?

Sorry, no parts either. I do have an intact, fully functioning B&L compound with a 3.5x5.5 B&L tessar, that looks nearly identical to yours, but is likely a size smaller.

    Re: Compound shutter main spring?

I'll have alook as well once I'm home in a couple days. You might need a new cocking lever as well, since the levers mounted with 2 screws are much less common vs. those mounted with 3 screws, so...

Re: Want to clean an Heliar

It should be easy to disassemble and reassemble if you want to clean it. If you have good materials ( cloth and solution) to do so, it's a very easy job, if not, then probably better not to do it....

    Re: Archaic/Proto Euryscope?

    Hi Steven,

There's another C lens for the list, see post 62 in this thread: #22408
  9. Re: Can someone ID this brass Voigtlander & Sohn. Serial 22089 ?

    Hi Steven,

From samples i've seen, the C lens has symmetrical cells, 60mm dia. Little bit shorter focal length than a bona fide euryscope IV #5, and operating at f7.

Joseph, here is the thread i referred to above:

  11. Re: Can someone ID this brass Voigtlander & Sohn. Serial 22089 ?

It is a euryscope design, or as it has been dubbed here, a "pre-euryscope". Search on the forum for a thread on pre- euryscope lenses started by Steven Tribe and you'll learn all you need to know

Black and Decker Workmate. Folds up and you can use the bulit in clamps to secure the camera to the table. Have used this for years.

  14. Re: Compur Shutter Repair: Which tool needed for screw 304 in Synchro Compur 1 MX

  15. Re: Problem removing rear element of Darlot Lens

I agree with Steven's solution of using hose clips (+ rubber strips). Screw tightening clips can be tightened reasonably precisely and give a solid grip when there's not much real estate to grab hold...
  16. Re: Euryscop II and Probable CC Harrsion radial drive lens found

Re: How much a 30 cm heliar should weighs ?

Measuring the lens glass diameter will also sort out this question quickly. A 60cm heliar has glass that is substantially larger than the 30cm.

Hi Hugo, that is what I experienced. But the images looked to me more like what you would get from Camera vibration, rather than a more pleasing soft focus look. I guess it depends on one's taste.
