Re: Metal darkroom trays ?? Advice needed

Cheap price, but I don't believe the surface is smooth enough to use against the paper coating. The problem with galvanised is in my opinion a coating will/may not stick. Find some paint that will...
  2. Re: Shutter swap - possible or not recommended..?

When a new shutter is more expensive than your lens, it might be time to upgrade? Nikkor-SW f8 is tiny and got bigger circle. Grandagon f6.8 is the thing in between and sought after. I sold my...

Find the Linhof table for max resolution and print it. It might guide you to a smaller aperture.

    Re: Chominix vs. Xxxxx?

The Chamonix does not have a ground glass as nice as a Wista. See the reflex on their website. A Wista can be closed with a small lens. I don't have a small lens, my 120mm is to big anyway. I really...

  7. Re: Advice Needed - Should I ship my LF lenses to get them CLA'ed before selling them

Re: Shutter for Heliar 300mm 4.5

Re: Shutter for Heliar 300mm 4.5

Read through, no mention of the Sinar shutter, which in my opinion is the only reason for the "tiny" 140mm sinar lens board. A Linhof Kardan at 162mm is still on the small side, I could barely fit my...

    Re: Focusing at 1:1 magnification

With a 4x5" you will cover 4x5" at 1:1. To cover the same 4x5" subject, use the 121mm lens at 484mm bellows and ca 242mm distance. Focus as described further up.

If swing are not used, instead of a clip, use something similar to the wehman front standard bottom. Or just ask Wehman himself if this has been done. It look like his website is down, though.
