  1. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

i love how you're trying to portray x-ray film being orthochromatic as a negative for beginners, rather than a huge advantage over panchromatic films because you can load it and develop it by...
  2. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

my interpretation is wrong, but you aren't going to provide any sort of correction? seems legit... NOT!
  3. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

  4. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

10x12 = 25x30cm. that's 600 100x125mm (4x5) sheets. €9.23 (total) per 50 4x5 sheets. it's clearly marked as film and shouldn't get x-rayed. even if it did, it's iso is ten times too low to be fogged...

  6. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

the x-ray film thread is over 600 pages long, so apparently plenty of people who aren't you have managed to do just fine with it.

get some x-ray film. ten times cheaper than anything else. and buy however many holders you manage to find for sale at the lowest price per holder.
  9. Re: Wireless Flash Trigger Mounting Ideas for LF

i took the hot shoe off of a junk camera and glued neodymium magnets to the bottom with some faux leather to add a bit of grip.

  13. Re: Film and winter temperature swings going on location

that's the opposite of what you should do. going from hot to cold, you need to minimize the amount of warm, moist air trapped in your gear or the moisture will condense out as the trapped air cools...
  14. Re: Where can I get a 5x4 dichroic enlarger or darkroom in the UK

you could get a non-dichroic enlarger and convert it to rgb led.

read the title of the thread. and you're still wrong, even some "regular" flashes without hss can do hss with added circuitry. read the thread.

well obviously, but not all lenses come with shutters or shutters that do 1/1000s. nobody's buying a speed graphic unless they intend to use the fp shutter.

Re: Aspect ratio of 10x8 and 5x4?

typically people only reduce it to the smallest whole numbers, with a bit of rounding off if necessary, since that's the easiest to work with.
