  2. Re: How many film holders do you bring for a day out?

    If a lot of walking is required, 6 8x10 holders, 10 4x5 holders (if shooting only 4x5). If it's roadside, then both 4x5 and 8x10. All holders...15, 8x10. 20, 4x5. I'll usually have HP5, FP4,...

Yup. Fine tuning is an ongoing thing. Just last night, I slightly changed how I pour the sensitiser on the tissue, LOL. That'll have to wait another 11 years though, for the next video LOL! Thanks...

  13. Re: Video: Testing Old Polaroid Type 55

I wish I had a refrigerator full of Type55!! I've only got about half a box left of this old stuff. Will miss it when it's gone. I have tried New55, but it's rubbish. I was in the kickstarter run....

Hi everyone! I made a video where I'm testing this old favourite of mine. I forgot I had an opened box, sitting in my shed... Cheers!

Thank you! It's a long story, but the gentleman in charge of Omuta city cultural heritage, gave me a key. I still have the key , and he and I are good friends to this day.
  17. Re: the thread for Kodak XTOL quality control issues

I'm on my second bag from suspect batch, and all is well. I received the replacements last summer, so I've got a supply that will last me a long time.

  28. Re: Wide Lenses for 4x5 & 8x10: 90mm to 165mm

The widest lens I have for 4x5 is 90mm. For 8x10, I use Nikkor SW 120, W210, W240. I tend to use more wide lenses with 8x10, than I do with 4x5.

    Re: Digital IR

I shoot a lot of Rollei IR in 4x5 and 120. Lovely stuff.
  30. Re: More detail from internegative or digital negative ?

I totally agree. I made internegs, then switched to digital negs. Faster. Easier. Cheaper. AND... you can build all your burns and dodges IN the negative. Less waste.

    Re: Anyone else printing smaller?

Usually print around 8x10. Good size to look at while holding in your hands. If I want something for the wall, I'll print a bit larger.

    Re: Digital IR

Really happy to see that my Nikkor 24-70 2.8G lens works really well with my 720 filter (Zomei). I tested it at 24mm and at 70mm. No hot spot.

Testing D850 (not IR converted) with Komei IR filters 680, and 720. The 720 (and 680, for that matter) considerably darker than my other 720 filter, making it challenging to focus. But if I cupped my...

    Re: Digital IR
