    Re: Modern Changing Tent?

I'm also a user of the Photoflex Changing Room, have it 30 years now, but I have the space to keep it up all the time. Works for me for 8x10".

I'm totally satisfied with E100, so I'm hoping also that this will be available for some time.

There nothing wrong with these images! Would not have believed that it worked this good.

    Re: Paper cutting preferences

From a safety aspect I dislike guillotine cutters. I use Rotatrim, double rail and the Dahle. Both used them for 30 years, both never let me down.

    Re: Common Large Format Mistakes

Going out on a shoot with a Sinar and DB lenses, then on location, you notice that you left the shutter on the other Sinar at home.

    Re: Common Large Format Mistakes

If have enough film holders to empty the pack of film completely. On a labelprinter I print film type, speed en exp, date, and stick that on each film holder.

Re: 4x10 how does it work and what do I need

I'm confused, after using LF for 30 years. How do you use 4x10" in a 4x5" camera? Really want to know that.

Re: Once upon a LF wedding..

I do like all the images! Appreciate the patience and perseverance to make it happen.

I've been a witness only once in a wedding shot on LF (8x10") and saw the amount of work and knowledge that...

Re: How Many Pros use LF?

Before the pandemic, I lead workshops, there I always used LF images, 64" on the short side.
These workshops were 100% of my income.

Really eye openers that old camera's and film can still...

    Re: 300mm lens 4x5" landscape

See comment #8, light refers to weight, not max. aperture.
  18. Re: A few, limited observations on traditional portrait perspective for the newcomer

In LF I take more in the frame from the environment, the model is clear enough to see on that format.
That gives me some distance from the model, and I don't have to bother so much with perspective...

  20. Re: And I only recently got into Medium Format...

In the old days I shot LF in a studio, or at least indoors, for money. Now that I'm retired I shoot only outside, landscapes. I schlepp the heavy Sinar P2 (8x10") even through heavy terrain. Love the...

Re: 8x10 Photography Compared to 4x5 Photography?

I wonder, what do ULF photographers think about the tiny 8x10" format? Is it still a cumbersome format to shoot with?
I just love the bigger GG of the 8x10", that I can study. Much easier to see...

Re: Front Axis tilt with back base tilt

I second that. I'm kind of a purist for parallel lines, and preserving hills and valleys. This not tilting the film plane was exactly why I choose to work with LF.

Re: how large (or small) are your prints?

When I had still a darkroom the largest I printed was 16x20".
Now I scan en print the same format. Used for workshops.
But to show what you can do with 8x10" I have it printed to 60". That's a...
  26. Re: Lens storage and carry - stupid but practical question

Re: Are you shooting more than one format

    35mm Digital, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 4x5" and 8x10"
Often scouting with digital, then I come back with film.
Very selective in 8x10", can't remember even one that I wasn't content with this format.
