That is very nice!!
I'm not sure about the current market for large format enlarger lenses. Quite a while back a got a set of silver, Durst branded, Componon lenses for less than $100 each. These went from 80mm to...
$10,000 enlarging lens? Nothing I ever heard of in a Durst mount, but just about anything could be adapted I suppose.
All done. Just don't sneeze or cough before putting the top piece in place to hold it all together.
This was a Cine lens aperture, about the size of a quarter. A large format mechanism is much...
Here is blade #9 of 10 going in. It will fit underneath the three blades that have been pivoted toward the center.

In this picture the blades are covering all the holes, but three more need to be fitted. I'm laying the blades clockwise. The first two blades that had been fitted can be pivoted toward the middle,...
Work your way around, adding blades one-by-one until you get to the place where they start to overlap. In this example I'm working clockwise. In the case of this mechanism, there are thee free holes...
The 210mm Componon-S came with only five blades, so it is easier to re-assemble. With paitience, you should be able to get yours back together.

This is how I do it on a mechanism with...
Great to see master craftsmen and their art recognized!
Late model Schneider Componon-S, 240mm, 210mm and 135mm. Does not get much better, or expensive than this in enlarging lenses.

How or why?
210mm Nikkor is a nice lens. Recessed lensboard or longer shaft on the filter holder.
Which enlarger?
Maybe you need bigger filters. I use below the lens Ilford filters with a 300mm Rodenstock 5.6.

Ha ha!
Just got some more 11x14 paper, so this is one of the first prints.

Which serial no. Lens did you get? Did you contact the manufacturer, or try to get your money back?
If you have a better 75mm lens formula, I'd encourage you to bring it to market and see what...
That’s nice. Makes a better case for owning both!
The Schneider Componon-S 135 and 150 both perform better at 3X >6x>12x. The MTF curves are very similar except at the far edge of the 135.
Testing the flash synch and checking the contacts should be part of a CLA for a large format shutter.
Not sure I understand about the transformer. Where to you live? In USA most all homes have 220v. Also confusing is the CLS1840 uses a 120V lamp.
Schneider 150 has less light fall off than the 135 based on their literature. (red = 150; green = 135)
Also, because of the narrower angle of view, the 150 is less likely to show the edges of the...
I had posted similar but not the same things over at APUG.
To fix the issue and smooth the inside of the spinner, I sprayed a few coats of primer. Then I made a sander like this from a washer,...

Only Durst made EST1500N. Too bad Jens called his the same thing as they are totally different. It won't match any Durst schematic.
A while back I did go on an...
This is the L1840. In the day it could be purchased with CLS1000 (5x7), CLS1840, or CLS2000 heads. Mine has the CLS2000 head and the Negateil shifting negative carrier for murals. I bought two of...
Personally, I think the best 5x7 enlarger made was the Durst 1300.
If this is the best to own today, depends on if one has some spare parts and knows how to keep the electronics running....
If these are darkroom prints, I'd have to charge thousands. That is a lot of work even with an assistant.
If providing inkjet prints I'd ditch the 8x10, use a DSLR and make money on the deal.
It all depends on your intended print size. I make pretty big magnification enlargements of my Minox negatives and they come out to be about 4" x 5" in dimension and still have good quality.
So,...
Were there ever any 'bad' 5x7 enlargers?
There are 'outdated' heads that can be difficult to use.

Spacing of the elements can alter flatness of field. For distant images, you might need to experiment with the best spacing to get center and edges sharp for your purposes.
I stopped selenium toning about 20 years ago when I switched to Ilford MG FB as it did not seem to do anything to that paper. Maybe I'm missing something.
Do you have an enlarging lens?
Parts are here: ( https://github.com/srozum/film_camera_tester )
It is a shutter tester (focal plane and leaf) and calibrated light source for testing meters.
I did not create these files. I just downloaded the files and sent them to a printing facility for black resin. I'm very happy with the result.

Some recent negatives on my light table (negative images). Looks like the center abnormality is gone.
Also, the outdoor image is exposed at EI 25 through the back of the Retropan film.

After considerable work, I was able to get a smooth surface on the inside of the spinner. My impression was the Loctite I used on the screw fouled the paint. So, no Loctite this time.
A few coats...

You know there were two different negative carrier systems for that enlarger. If you have the lift arm then all the D5 carriers fit. The other way is to have the head down all the time and use the...
All my Omega D5500 carriers are anodized. I do recall seeing some Omega carriers painted white (on the top) and black on the bottom. I'd go glossy as it might be easier to keep clean.
You can see...

Under exposing sheet film and over-developing it is not commonly practiced. Maybe like using a view camera hand -held. Not common, but not without merit for special circumstances.
