Interesting - but the Photographer or his Estate does not make a dime from the sales. Not in the USA. I understand in some Countries there is a way to get some of these sale prices back to the artist?
Interesting that those who bought Gitzo decades ago with "Lifetime Warranty" find the company now does not honor it.
Meanwhile, Ries keeps on taking care of us.
There was nothing quiet like a beautiful large Cibachrome print from Fuji 50 sheet film. They worked so well together and oftimes one did not need a contrast mask for top quality in the print.
Agree with Artcraft. More dependable and higher quality all the way around.

I use the ROR glass cleaner. I don't work for them nor do I sell the stuff.
Lenses and glass, it works well. Might take more than one try to get it completely streak free...
Since learning brush development a few years ago I have never had a scratched negative. Every now and then with the shuffle method of more than one at a time I would get scratches, scrapes and/or...
Kodak T-Max 100 has excellent reciprocity characteristics and with managed development you can work the contrast all over the place. Low light images and large format lenses might force you into...
500 & 720 cells in use for us. Covers 5x7 with no problem so you won't be seeing vignetting. The 720 element gives coverage to 8x10 with light falloff in the corners. Easily overcome when printing....
You can "pre-wash" or wash off your liquids. Some will most likely have soaked in a bit and no matter the "pre-wash" they will have an effect on development.
Pre soaking negatives is a normal...
"Just water" has dissolved minerals and impurities.
Try last two soaks in distilled water with last using Kodak Foto Flo or Ilford Ilfotol Wetting Agent or similar.

Scanning? Use a scanner.
You are just looking at normal Copy work, same as has been done for decades.
How about framing them for viewing on the wall?
How do you frame Ambrotypes so you can show what you have done?
Any considerations for Conservation framing? Rag Mats or normal? Buffered or not? ...
Is anyone making direct duplicating film these days?
Recycling ideas is fine. Copys are not. At first look a lot of his work looks nice. Bright and full of impact. Then the direct comparison with images done before and we see he is on the edge of...
KODAK PROFESSIONAL B/WDuplicating Film SO-132 in 4x5 or 8x10. Is it still being made and if so, might it do the job for you?
Best fix is a new bellows. Few worries about that nasty Sudden Surprise light leak when you develop an image after you were going along so well with no light leaks.
Or, use the "Morley Baer Wrap"...
Only list is with photos and serial numbers for insurance purposes, including a copy in a pocket in the camera bag in case ever needed in the field.
As for the bag - everything has a particular...

Try using that one if a dispute arises with the buyer making a claim of some sort.

You will find the same thing with this film that holds true with most film.
Pick a developer - almost any developer - and use it. Work with it and tweak development times, agitation and dilutions...
Why not just get a Linhof and not worry about it?
There are good reasons so many use Linhof.
So many available on the used market. So many in excellent condition.
Newer or older - they last and...
The big 60 series Metz strobes are always going to be useful. Powerful enough to use in umbrellas and soft boxes. Powerful enough and controllable for fill light on a building at some distance during...
Older Bogen Magic Arm. One end clamped to a tripod leg and the other clamped to the lens. Takes the strain off the front of the camera well and is adjustable which allows more leeway with focusing.
Can't be random stars as it shows on the solid surface of solid objects.
Dust on the film surface when you took the image, possibly.
What water do you use to mix the developer? Possible to...
Lightweight, solid, inexpensive.
Pick two. You won't get all three at the same time.
A good option is the tried and true Ries wood tripod for LF work. It is still one of the best bargains...
Tinker toys in a changing bag make it into a space where the cloth does not lay on your film or holders. Best of all it keeps the top off your hands as the moisture builds up inside as you unlod/load...
Why not just a normal insulated lunch carrier you find in the stores - and in Rummage sales? They work well and the more solid construction helps to protect the holders as you walk around. When you...
Have shot a few with the Fuji 400 tele on 5x7 and it works OK.(going back over old Chromes and notes - the 600mm Fuji also) After a comparison with the Nikkor 360/500/720 - using the 500 glass, I...
