    Re: old film

You also may find that you need to increase development too. Definitely worth trying it out. I suspect your film will be fine.

    Re: Jason Lane Dry Plate

I've just used an enlarger so far on the 4x5 plates I've shot (Omega D2V).
  4. Re: Foma Fomapan 100 in rodinal : exposing and developing

I shoot AristaEDU 100 @100 and develop in Rodinal 1+50 for 6:30 at 68 degrees. This is for hand inversion. If I'm developing 4x5 in a rotary tank I give it about 15% less time. I adjust my...

Re: How to start working on a shutter?

As said above, start on a shutter you don't care about, then just start. Some things I find helpful are to take photos along the way as you see fit to remind you of how and where springs and levers...
  6. Re: Wollensak Serial Numbers: Request for Known Dates

I have a Wollensak Regno shutter with an 11” f/7.7 Luxor Anastigmat lens mounted in it. Penciled on the inside rear is what looks like either “33958” or maybe "SN3958". There are no dates in pencil,...

I shoot both the 100 and 400 versions (Arista EDU) at box speed, with slightly less than the recommended development time in Rodinal and adjusting development as needed depending on my exposure...

    Re: Jason Lane Dry Plate

Shot my first couple of plates. This one came out the best. I got the exposure about right but under-developed it a bit. Shot at ASA 1 and developed it in Rodinal 1+50. Pre-Anniversary Speed Graphic,...

  13. Re: TRI-X Pan TXP 518 4x5 16 Sheet Pack Film advice/TIPS?

I've shot a couple of film packs of Tri-X from 1959. Exposed at an EI of 12 and developed in Rodinal 1+25 for 12:00 @68 deg. Negatives were quite dense, but printable. There was a bit of fog, as...

While I can certainly understand being hesitant to do the cleaning yourself, the service manual for Graphex shutters is available online and is quite good. I stripped down a Graphex #3 shutter...
