AKFREAK - You might try calling Badger and see if they will be getting any more 8x10 Astia in. I noticed he got a couple batches in the last two months. I have no idea how he got hold of it. The 8x10...
I just bought some 8x10 Astia from Badger a month ago. It was $183 for 20 sheets. Not way different from 4x$40 and even less than 4x current Badger price for 4x5 which is $50.
I guess special order co-ops with Kodak is even more of a crap shoot now. Even if there's enough demand to order something from Kodak, you can't be sure you'd get your film after sending them your...
You would think at some point they would stop giving away million dollar golf prizes.

Nice portrait. It's interesting how the left hand grabbing her right elbow seems detached and a thing on it's own.
I've notice that Badger has mentioned a special order for 8x10 TMY on their site for the last few weeks. It says delivery around Sept. so he may have already put the money up front.
It reminds me of a story I read in a paper many years back of someone who built a house the side of a hill overlooking Lake Tahoe whose view was obstructed by trees in a state park between his house...
You can look for an old 8x20 Korona with a Korona film holder. KB Canham was trying to fill an order for 8x20 Kodak 160NC a month ago. I think the price was over $300 for a box 25 sheets.
I'm left handed and the glass looks to me more normal being on the left. When I see a picture of a place setting, it doesn't look normal unless the forks are on the left. I wonder if left/right...
With this type of camera design, is there any reason you can't move both the front and rear standards towards the front if you need to avoid the bottom of the camera getting into the picture with a...

Thanks. My brother use to man the lookout during fire season for a number of years, so when I lived in Tucson, I would to go up there to escape the heat.

I'd be afraid of losing more sheets to C41 processing errors than exposure errors. It's tempting to buy a box of 8x20 Portra 160(NC?) to store in the freezer for the right occasion though.

I checked out Canham's facebook page for the first time. It's seems to be where they update the status of their film orders. They received the TMax 400 order from Kodak last week and are starting to...
It's interesting that B&H Photo started listing the new Kodak Portra 160 for 5x7 in 50 sht boxes.

It took me a few hours of going through Simon Galley's posts on APUG, but I finally found the post I think you referenced. In response a question in 2008 about making Delta 3200 in 4x5 he said:
...
Yikes! I was hoping that since they use to produce Delta 400 sheet film and that they currently make Delta 100 5x7, it wouldn't be such a problem.

Jeff from Badger Graphics has told me he is willing to talk to Ilford about a group purchase of Ilford Delta 400 5x7 if there is enough interest in it. The chances of succeeding might be remote, but...
If there is a government shutdown in June, there won't be any tourists.
They also list TMax400 8x10.
I've just assumed the only people interested in where I live and what equipment I have are those people interested in robbing me.

There's an interesting interview with Scott DiSabato from Kodak about the new Portra 160 on Inside Analog Photo Radio.

I wonder how Fujifilm has been effected by the problems in Japan, and if Kodak might get a boost if Fuji's film production takes a hit for a while.

I'd be interested as long as they don't glow in the dark.
Does anyone know what the shelf life of unopened kits are?
I would suggest going to this forum for a lot of good advice on ink jet papers:

I have a Shen Hao of a similar design and wonder what the front mounting holes are for. Are they for something besides just keeping the camera balanced? I assume the Chamonix is like the Shen Hao in...

When comparing the cost of them you might want to take into account the difference in screens. My Shen Hao's screen is darker than I would like and I'm in the process of replacing it with a better...
Unfortunately, the trial version of Vuescan doesn't enable the more useful features of the software.
I recently bought some boxes of 5x7 Provia and 5x7 Kodak 160NC from Badger. The Provia is dated 2012-11 and the Kodak 160NC is dated 2012-6. He still had a lot of the Provia and one box of the 160NC...
