    Small shutter for brass Petzval

How could/would I rig a small shutter to a brass petzval-style lens for use in a camera with little room to play with inside? No room for a packard.

Re: Wooden Glass plate camera question

No, with the ground glass door open, a plateholder fits into that spot. The ground glass door stays open. You won't be able to just "rig" something due to light tightness and the registration or...

  25. What are the springs inside rear of Deardorff for?

In the removable back of the Deardorff, there are cutouts and springs in the wall of the wooden frame. Almost like to install a panel in front of the springback. What are these for?

    Re: Tripod Socket Size

I can't really do both, as the piece will surely be done via a lathe. I reckon I should go with the 3/8" and a bushing to avoid any issues at all. Concept wise, it will be very similar to the base...
