Re: Shipping film to Europe and dealing with VAT

You can reduce the extra expenses by carrying, say, 5-10 boxes, and
buying the balance there, assuming some European outfit carries Tri-X.

  7. Re: Securing Fresh Supplies of 25 ASA LF Black and White Film

    Greetings,

I'd commit to 4 boxes each of 8x10, 12x20 & 14x17. If the manufacturer can/would cut 16x20 also, I'd add 4 additional boxes of this latter size as well.

    Hope it happens !

Re: v11 deardorff or chamoix 16x20 camera?

In my opinion, better to go with a 14x17 & add a 11x14 reducing back.

Re: Choosing ULF, how about R T Ritter fields ?

    Yes. Plus Chamonix.

Re. ULF, Canham's standard bellows, I believe, is longer; but if you go with Ritter's, he can build the camera to accept longer bellows.

What Michael said above, so stay tuned...... At best, it probably will be a new version of Agfapan; and most likely ISO100 first, then perhaps ISO25 later. Good chance it will be available in most LF...
  22. Re: Hmmm...Move "up" to 11x14, or stick with 8x10?

    Dan,

I'd skip 11x14 and go to 14x17. Most of your lenses (stopped down) will cover that format. Check with Hugo Zhang: there are photographers in S Cal that shoot 14x17.

    Obviously not cheap, in...
