    Re: Lets See Your Darkroom

Gudmundur, what a nice space. What light source is that in place of the condensers in the Durst 184? I saw in another thread it's a cold head, but which kind?

  2. Re: 8x10 Enlarger Chassis for Heiland LED Recs

 Color me jealous. I saw a Durst 138 head on a 184 chassis for free recently, but it was rusty and abused.

I think a condenser head Durst 184 that's missing the condensers also might make...

Re: MF (6x4.5 to 6x12) COLOR image sharing

A rare (for me) color shot. Velvia 50, Hasselblad 500C/M on a non-T* 80mm. Florida Keys along the overseas highway. Color is hard to get right for me in post, but it's a good exercise to try and...

Very nice work, Andrew. How was Caddo Lake from an LF perspective? I'd like to plan a trip there but it looks like solid ground for tripods is scarce.

Re: Any LF groups in Texas?

We really need to get something going again. These meetups don't tend to last more than a few meetings, but I always enjoy the ones I have attended. I do understand that it's a lot of work to keep...
  8. Re: Looking to get into IR goggles to help me with my film handling

The ATN monocle has been a game changer for me, but the harness is really fiddly and it's almost impossible to use with glasses.

    April Portraits 2019

Didn't see an April thread yet, so I went ahead and started it.

My wife had her baby shower last month and I set up the Deardorff and asked to take a photo of my wife and her aunt. Didn't have...

Re: Durst 450 cls power supply

    Ruilourosa,
If you look in the link I posted above, I am using an industrial power supply for my L1200. If you're using a modern "switching" power supply, you must have the switch/relay on the load...

When I purchased a VLS500 head for my Durst, the fan wouldn't work. Turns out that the fan motor itself was bad (would not turn when hooked up directly to a 24V supply) and I could not find an exact...

  15. Re: Handy approach to Pre-Exposure, Build your own Flasher

That's a neat idea Eric, I like the idea of mounting the LED to the enlarger. Much less space than using a dedicated enlarger to do the pre-flash.

Re: My LF-prints less crisp compared to my MF

I agree with this assessment, and notice it especially with HP5+ and Tri-X in medium format. They appear very sharp compared to 4x5 HP5 on the same sized papers.
