    Re: Musical Instruments

Jim, I collected some fine guitars back in the late 60's and early 70's. A '62 Strat, 70's white Strat, '57 reissue black Strat (I still have this one) a 68' Martin D-28. Guild 12 string and several...
  5. Re: Making a photobook from darkroom prints

Vaughn, yes we are traditional for sure. It is crazy where the process has been going. I still love the tactile quality and richness of the images we make. The first book was a joy to complete and...

    Re: Musical Instruments

David, it was quite an experience knowing its history. I played the guitar unplugged and I could tell how it would sound electrified. I'm glad I was able to photograph it.

    Re: Musical Instruments

    Re: orthochromatic film?

I would go with what Jim said, after all 83 years of experience kind of counts a lot in my book.
  11. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

All I can say is listen to Jim Noel, he has been photographing longer than most of us have been alive. Take his recommendations and use them. It is what I do. He has been at this for 83 years! He...

    Re: Eidoscope

Nice images. Eidoscope's have a nice signature. I was going to sell my #1 19" that is a great lens for my Century 8A. Still on the fence on it. I do love the images it gives me.

We lost one of the icon's of wet plate today. Will lost his battle and died of heart failure today. So sad.

  15. Re: Yosemite Renaissance 36 online opening

Well, they had a problem and the opening did not happen. No update either?
  16. Re: Yosemite Renaissance 36 online opening

I'm not sure. It will be a recorded video presentation is all they have told me. I would think it would go to you tube and the Yosemite renaissance website as well at some point.
  17. Yosemite Renaissance 36 online opening

Tomorrow night at 5 pm west coast time the opening will believe on Facebook. My carbon transfer book is in the exhibit. They will be handing out awards at that time. Check it out if you have time....

    Re: Pyrocat adjustments/improvements

I use Pyrocat-HD for all of my negatives at 2:2:100 for carbon printing and T-Max 400 is one of the best films in Pyrocat HD. I would go to the 2:2:100 dilution.
