Re: Pentax 67 fisheye on a 4x5 Sinar

I'd be happy using a 30mm fisheye on my Rollei assuming I ever found one for sale.

Works perfect when I do it. Craftsmanship is only as good as the craftsman, no matter what the tools.

    Re: New Autofocus 4x5"

Looks interesting. I have been using autofocus 6x6cm format for a little over a year now and would not want to go back to manual focus.
I use two AF 6x6cm cameras, Rollei 6008AF and Rollei Hy6.

    Re: 51 Gallons Distilled

last time i bought a gallon jug like that for my darkroom, the jug was biodegradable and leaked all over the place before i could use it all. Big mess, and that was only a single jug.
  5. Re: Shooting with fixed optical cold shoe viewfinder on Horseman FA

I gave up zone focus with my Horseman FA 4x5 and will use the Horseman VH-R 6x9cm with it's rangefinder instead.
Sure, the format is smaller, requiring higher magnification enlargement, but the...
  6. Re: Using Schneider Kreuznach’s Super-Symmar XL 150mm Lens

I think of that image in terms of lack of converging perspective lines. There are lines on the center rock, but how big is it and are they even parallel? They are not parallel or level and produce...
  7. Re: Using Schneider Kreuznach’s Super-Symmar XL 150mm Lens

Looking forward to the results. I enjoy super-wide photography, but find it very challenging.

Sometimes it is clearly obvious a super-wide lens was used, but other times, it is not obvious; there...

    Re: Bolts in an Envelope

Along those same lines, the last time I changed oil, I ordered it on-line and it was free, same day delivery.
With my pump, it only took a few minutes to do the complete oil change.

I'd be interested in how much movement you will be expecting (44mm?) and if will require a bag bellows.

    Re: H&D Curves with 510-Pyro?

You will be fine. Even if your stain fades decades from now, you are unlikely to have the same printing paper available to make an identical print anyway.

    Re: Wide Lenses for 4x5 & 8x10: 90mm to 165mm

Lot of reading in this thread, but I did read your post #42, but I'd call both the Fuji 180mm and 125mm very modern lenses with the latest design, construction and shutters.

    Re: Wide Lenses for 4x5 & 8x10: 90mm to 165mm

If I need to correct for converging lines, I do it while printing.
This allows me to use some compact, easy to obtain lenses.
    125mm and 180mm Fuji lenses on 8x10.
Also, since the sky or top...

My music is pretty remote from my photography. I don't even have my own CDs playing in the darkroom.

Re: Zeiss Protar 8.5cm f18 Bill Brandt lens

  25. Re: Is it possible to print with 4x5 negs using a LPL 7700 enlarger?

LPL7700 is a nice contemporary enlarger. If the price is right, that enlarger and a rollfilm back for your 4x5 would make a good combination.

  32. Re: Does extending the center column accomplish the same thing as front rise?
