    Re: Medium Format Infrared Images

This is otherworldly; I love it! It is the kind of result I'm trying to achieve with my infrared photography...but I'm still working at it.
  2. Re: Post your critters & plants under the macro lens

Here's an obligatory shot of a cicada/17-year locust (Magicicada septendecim) that I took in the middle of last month. They've since "died-off" for another 17 years. This is the first time I've...

    Re: Aircraft

I remember seeing C-141 Starlifters, at the Armed Forces Day air show, at Andrews Air Force Base, as a little kid in the early 1980's. I like the C-17 Globemaster III, but aesthetically, the...

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

I like the symmetry of the sides of the bridge, that also function as leading lines. A nice glimpse into the past, at a structure that may not exist anymore...well done.
  10. Re: What are these annoying blemishes?

I would contact Kodak. I know it won't fix your image, but may be it'll help them prevent future issues. When I contacted them, in the past, they were always helpful.

An old, brick building, that was becoming overgrown. Nikon F100, Nikkor 35-70mm lens with orange 16 filter, and FPP InfraChrome film.

I have not used them, but there is Lone Star Darkroom, in Dallas. It looks like they even offer optical printing.

    Re: Smaller Fomat Nudes

Here's an image I tried using a 24 mm F/2.8 AIS lens. Normally, I use significantly longer lenses, for photographing people, and wanted to try something different. Portra 160 with a polarizing...

  20. Re: MF (6x4.5,6x6,6x7,6x9,6x12) B&W film images sharing

If you hadn't mentioned that it was smoke from wildfires, I'd think this image was made on a quiet, foggy morning. It looks peaceful, if you don't know the backstory.

So do I; I have done some IR work with people. Maybe I'll dig-out a few images and post them. I really like color infrared film, and have been playing with Kodak HIE, too.

    Re: old film

    Re: post your trees!

They definitely create an interesting texture and repeating pattern. I think the shadows from the other trees help accentuate that texture. What about the scene changed, since you had scouted it?

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

Nice images, I really like the colors in the last two. Was this in Kingman or Pinal Park?

I wish planes didn't have to be scrapped or abandoned, it seems like such an ignominious end.
