  2. Re: Compur Shutter and Strobe firing at slow shutter speeds

As it is mentioned in the instruction book, if you have one, the Ghostmaster doesn't need much power at all to operate. Triggering on a bounce at slow shutter speeds can frequently be stopped by...

[QUOTE=C. D. Keth;1542647]With these cameras being upward of 50 years old at this point, could existing cams have worn along the bearing edge and eroded their accuracy?

Re: Better lens for my Crown Graphic?

It's a more complicated than that. TRF cam-coupled lenses were set up by the factory in one of two ways, with "hard stops" or "soft stops". With hard stops, the stops are set to infinity focus with...

Unless that Xenar has some unusual defect, you are not going to improve your results noticeably with another lens on the Crown Graphic. Be sure your own RF is in accurate adjustment, many of them...

  9. Re: Compur Shutter and Strobe firing at slow shutter speeds

You don't need all the functions of the Ghostmaster, just a bounce-free circuit in the sync connection. I'll get out the books tomorrow and find a schematic for a circuit that will work. It's going...
  10. Re: Compur Shutter and Strobe firing at slow shutter speeds

The shutter contacts are bouncing. They close, firing your strobe, but then bounce open again and because your new strobe is ready almost immediately, unlike older power packs, it fires again when...

It's "Learn or burn." in this life.
  13. Re: What am I doing wrong?! Mounting Copal 3

You don't have the spacer ring, what you have is two jam nuts. You can buy the spacer rings from eBay. When you get one, it goes between the lens and the board and the deep jam nut with the narrow...

    Re: Push 400 to 800 in HC110

If you are happy with your 320 negatives in HC11B try the same time but use a dilution of 1.25 to 30.75 instead of 1:31. You really need to run your own tests. I have posted on this subject before....

  17. Please suggest a good in stamp for collector FB prints.

I would like to stamp the back of prints I sell and fill in details in pencil and be confident that the stamp will cause no damage in the future. Anyone have a suggestion?

Re: How to obtain a Dynatect bellows.

    Peter,
Since Dynatect in New Berlin WI is within driving distance of you, perhaps a personal visit to their facility would be in order and then you could report your findings here on the forum.

  27. Re: question about strobe heads for norman power packs

With the P2000 and P4000 manual flash packs you have to change power levels only when the ready light is on. That way, all caps are charged and won't be discharging against one another.
  28. Re: question about strobe heads for norman power packs

The Norman P2000D and likely the 800 both take Series 900 Norman heads, unless the 800 is a 450Series.
