Contrary to popular belief, the CC-402 will take a 65mm lense on a flat board. I've used one on mine many times even with some movements.

I used to have this same problem. I now use two or more passes instead of trying to cut through with one single pass....just lower the blade a little more on each pass....no more ruined mat boards.

Hugo asked why anyone would want an 8x10 enlarger. I bought mine for enlarging 4x10 negatives to 8x20 prints. I also use it for 5x7.

You might try some of the government agencies in your area. I bought a nice Omega 10x10 with several lenses, 3 easels, etc. for $50.00 from TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority).

It's much easier to just soak the prints in trays and use no running water.

I tried some pinhole 5x7 stuff a few years ago and film developer worked better for me then the paper developer.....better tonal range and less contrast.

I have a Schneider 210mm and a Fujinon 90mm with the Schneideritis. It dosen't effect picture quality but it might hurt the resale of the lens.
