    Re: Paper negatives

This is very interesting...I must try some caffenol. Do you have a recipe? For the past couple of years I have been making what I have called 'in camera lumens'. I have used a simple camera,...
  2. Re: Your experience with "on demand" photo book printing services?

I have made 3 Blurb photo books and been involved with 2 of their magazines. I have used their software to assemble the books and found it quite intuitive. These were all paper covers and used as...

    Re: Cyanotypes on rice paper

I have printed cyanotype on rice paper for a number of years and like it very much, my favorite so far is Yasutomo Sketch. It is tricky to coat and process as it is quite fragile. I tape the corners...

    Re: Reviving Platinum Solution #3

All of your approaches make sense. Given the cost of this I would give Bostick an Sullivan a call first…they are always helpful. I use solutions that are quite old without problems.

    Re: Konica GRII series coverage

I chose the image above because it clearly shows the falloff towards the edges. I would assume this would be more pronounced with 7x17. I personally liked this effect along with the grittiness from...

    Re: Konica GRII series coverage

This was taken with the 260mm on a homemade diptych camera(2 5x7 holders end to end) shooting old Polycontrast paper. The paper negatives were scanned and printed digitally. It was necessary to do a...

Re: K.B. Canham Users - 4x5/5x7 Wood Camera

I am on a 3 week trip shooting 4x10, 5x7, and 4x5 with the same camera. I would agree with other posters that it can be less than intuitive but it is beautifully made and predictable. I have been to...

    Re: New Mexico?

If you go to Mesa Verde NP, which is spectacular and can be busy, consider Hovenweep NM, just over the border in Utah. There are some great ruins and it is easier to shoot with a big camera.

I don't know the exact location other than it was near, most likely west of, Manzanar. You can drive around the perimeter of the monument and there are numerous dirt roads in the vicinity. We have...

I hadn't seen this thread either...diptychs are a favorite. This was taken with a homemade camera...two 5x7 holders, a cardboard box, and a copy camera lens, shot on photo paper.

Re: Harrison vs Wanderer 8x10 Dark Cloth
