Btw. I find your portraits very interesting... they are disturbing... some of them a bit too much for my taste... but I'm what you'd call old school... That does not diminish their impact, though...

this one brings bag memories... (that was one hell of a sunrise I experienced there)... I really like how you composed the image, and the light plays so well to emphasize the texture... very well done...

This one was hard. It took me several tries (6 or 7, or maybe even more) from different spots, in several conditions during a couple of years until I got an acceptable image. Or an image that most resembles what the place tells me from the very beginning, what I wanted to capture...
Lesson I learned: perseverance is important. Don't be put of by initial failure, even several of them... and let the place speak to you...

Very nice Jiri. All of the effort was worth it and it looks like a nice place to spend your spare time waiting for the right conditions.

"The Secret Waterfall"
I have taken this same scene two years ago with my Mamiya 7II. The light level was too dark so the DoF was not enough to cover certain spots.
I tried again a few days ago, and the light level was even worse. It was just about impossible to focus on the ground glass (I think it was EV2). For this shot, I used the extension bar to position the camera over the railing, and I tried to stabilize the tripod with my hand and not breath for the 8 seconds exposure.

(of course it's not much a secret location, it's the #1 attraction in the Park)
