Beautiful images on this page. Good job everyone!
Mike and Chris, thanks! It was shot on Delta 100 and developed in Rodinal 1:50. After missing a spectacular true Alpenglow here the previous morning...Gosh I was tired and just watched it smiling from the back of my SUV, I knew I wouldn't make it to shoot it, I was rewarded with these beautiful clouds the next day. This was two days after Thanksgiving and the weather was quite unsettled, it rained a bit in Death Valley later that day. I was shooting a yellow filter in a Cokin Z series mount for the first time on the SSXL and it vignettes badly on this lens, add to that, I don't have a center filter. This is cropped about 1/2 inch on both ends, but I think the slight vignette remaining helps a lot.
Richard, that's very kind. You can imagine my glee when I pulled this out of the tank. I've got another one from Dante's View later this day that I was pretty darn pleased with as well. I'll post it later.
Jim, that's a wonderful shot of Rundle, gives me the shivers just looking at it!:) I really, really need to get up that way again, been almost 20 years.
