I hiked around the bend, it kept going. I hiked around the next, it kept going. I hike around another, it just kept going.
Below is where I ended up, not where I started.
It was late, I pitched my tent, and stayed the night. It was cold. I dreamt of never getting there.

Allen, yes, we love it. I had to leave behind my darkroom to be here but it was worth it. The fenceline photo was taken in the foothills east of Bakersfield, CA about 60 miles from here. I live in the Sierra Mountains (Kern River Valley). I consider everything between the San Joaquin Valley and the Mojave Desert my back yard. :)
