Ross: that's a terrific shot in a really nice piece of light.
Thanks Andreios and Harley. Love that place. Had a fabulous time. Nothing like a solid week of nothing but work. Hard to beat that. I didn't hotel or eat out. Just ate my own bad sandwiches and drank water and worked.
I've posted this on the Shiprock Thread in Travel but can't resist posting here as well. Under the nose of the famous wing on the Northeast Corner of Shiprock. Windy out on the plain. I was in a little wind shadow but right around the corner it would blow the camera over. Almost too much to clamber around in! Probably yellow filter. I'm a noticer of shadows and work around Shiprock with the sundial effect in mind. Deardorff 5X7 and 120 Super Angulon. HP5 in Xtol. Slightly reduced negative development. This is an iphone shot of the proof.

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Great work Robert, I like them all. Love the warm tone and the softer contrast with the open shadows.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks. Great subject to be obsessed by! I like a soft print as well. Might get one more trip up this year.
Might be a few more details there: http://robertlangham.blogspot.com/
Water in lab too hot to print but I do have some paper left. Might give it a try. I don't want to wait until the fall. Most likely I will run some platinum/palladium.
