I got the opportunity view Jon's portfolio in person just recently and was very impressed. Many of his pieces invite the eye to linger and discover more and more. An example is a mountain scene in the sand of a beach. Have you ever posted that here Jon?

Thanks all for your comments. Jim it was a pleasure to show you the prints. That particuliar photo you mention is a medium format one, so not posted here.

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Gentlemen,
Thank you for your comments... :)
I am currently adding a few images to my portfolio that I mentioned in a previous post, where they are captured near dusk, because the adiabatic winds can be north of 80kph during the daylight hours this time of the year, but the strong westerly winds do settle down as the sun sets behind the mountains. The spring clouds are always wondrous on the leeward side when a low pressure system bumps into British Columbia's southwest corner and, or the jet stream cruises along the British Columbia and Alberta border. The scene always changes too quickly, as I set my camera and exposure during the waning moments of daylight, and as fate would have it, the scene is slightly different from my viewing card moment.
Therefore, the images I try to capture, at or near dusk, may be a wee bit dark and, or moody...
Again, thank you.

Yea, but I like them that way.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Dear Jim,
Your great photography saved me this weekend, thanks! :)
I was visiting, and slowly rebuilding a crashed laptop with a complete clean install.
Huddled in the corner with a glass of wine and my laptop, eventually comments were made......I showed everyone your two pictures and debated the two versions with them.
Everyone loved the work, a long conversation broke out over your pictures and I was off the hook for being anti social with my 'puter in hand!
I owe you one buddy! :)
Great work!
Nana, your wide angle work was a big hit too!
