I would advise that you consult with a shutter repair person BEFORE you attempt such. There are special lubricants that are designed for COLD weather use.

There are a lot of pro' and con's I might say. In the moment I have the feeling it will never get bright and sunny again. Only clouds and Rain and no colour at all.

Thanks for your comments -- it would be interesting to see with more sky and less stone. I'll have to bear that in mind the next time I'm trying to photograph a similar scene.
