Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks Marty. The sun was high and rapidly burning off the morning mist, and I was trying to preserve the quality of the light at that time. I'm slowly working through my negatives from the weekend, and here's one more, cropped a little at the top to take out some distracting con-trails, and with a different mood because of the changing light, although just a few minutes earlier than the photograph already posted. Xtol is also new to me, and I wasn't sure how it would separate the highlights;

Did you have to work quickly to catch it ?

Sorry for the duplicate subject matter from a recent BW I posted a few days ago. I was waiting for my slide film to come back, and when I saw it on the light table at the film shop, it was a special experience. I'll say, I love working with tonality in black and white, I love working with C41(especially the new ektar), but to me, there is absolutely nothing as gratifying in photography as seeing your new slides on a light table for the first time. Perhaps the second most gratifying experience is seeing your own print on the wall, but that solitary moment that you have with your slide before the rest of the world sees it really hits me every time.
