Going to the archives again about 1993. The long abandoned Frisco Mill in the upper Animas Forks basin looking about south down the Animas River. Near Silverton CO. The mill is at about 11,400 ft., accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle. Cold at night camping even in August, about 25F.

Awesome!
When Washington, DC was originally surveyed in 1791 and 1792, the boundary was marked by stones. Those that remain are now historic landmarks.

Whenever I hit a creative lull, as now, I tend to go back through old negatives looking for something to work on. This one was shot on our honeymoon in 1992. The negative is terrible; it sat in the holder for over three years after being exposed and was underdeveloped to boot. I have never been able to produce a satisfactory scan. Maybe I'll try intensifying the negative at some point and see what that does.
