Just for fun...Moon Set over Goblin Valley
Early in the morning -- too bloody hot otherwise (July...105F or so by mid-morning)!
Zone VI 8x10, Fuji W 300/5.6, Ilford FP4+ probably.
Scanned 8x10 negative, then horribly disfigured in Photo Chop.
Very interesting place but I've always had difficulty getting what I want.

A couple from this morning's shoot at this ridge that I've been frequenting. Hadn't planned on shooting 8x10 but I ran out of 4x film just as this cloud pattern was forming overhead. In this case, having too much equipment was a good thing :D
Now you're talkin', John! I particularly like the first one.
I can see where it would be a difficult place to make more than just a generic image of the place. I got up at first light and only had a hour or two to photograph -- then I had to return to camp and get the family packed up before it got too hot (even though it had rained on us during the night after we arrived after dark!)
It is on my list of places to return to...I just got a taste of it. I did make one image I have printed (Platinum). If I can find it, I'll scan it and put it up here.

John,
that first frame is a real beauty!
Thanks h20man and Alan.
