Nicely done, Sergei!
Looking for the big bad wolf.
thanks , guys. I am officially more impressed with Clyde Butcher after this excursion, as he is quite a bit older than i am and yet he manages through this stuff.. I been freaked out about swamps since i was wee one, and i still am.. So hauling around myself in my lovely rubber boots, 8x10 , tripod, backpack with gear and trying hard not to scream every time me leg would umph in whole thing or tripod would sink down yet another feet... That was a bit dodgy right there :) But i still managed to wonder around this stuff for few hours. And i will try it again :)
As Preston Birdwell described in the thread about smoke from the Aspen fire, things were pretty hazy along the eastern Sierra over last weekend. I decided to embrace the haze rather than avoid it with a few images and experimented a bit. This is one of those. The top was mostly white with some faint detail at the very top, so I cropped it to pano to eliminate the big blank space. Chamonix 4x5, Nikkor M 300, Delta 100.
C&C welcome.

You're stirring up some fond memories Ken. You captured the essence of the area quite nicely.
