This place was incredible we camped there for a week and saw no other people. These formation
cannot be seen from the road at all and you would think driving through is was all sage brush cow pasture.
When we turned off the gravel road onto the dirt path at the tiny little marker sign the ranger told us about
and we drove right up to the edge of this and about crapped our drawers. We thought we were going to be in
the middle of a cow pasture. Needless to say we spent most of trip right here barely made it back down to the
historic park.
Looks like an awesome location. Hope to visit Chaco this June.

G'day, Brian! Lovely photo! You split the frame right in half with the horizon line -- a "rule" that you most wonderfully broke!
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Nice shot, Brian!

Great place I would suggest taking a look at the surrounding areas on google maps satellite view and make note of where the interesting places are in relation to the roads. When you are driving the roads are all up on the tops of the plateaus and you can't even tell you are driving only a few hundred yards from the surface of Mars. Oh and bring a jacket it sleeted on us in June.
