Thanks to the earlier comments.
Here is one from Capitol Reef last fall. I was lucky enough to have the small rainbow stick around until I was able to compose and set up the 8x10. Usually, the rainbows disappear as soon as I pull the camera out of the pack. This image was made with a Nikkor 450M using Provia.

Thanks Steve. Yeah I was just reading someone's topic here recently about black suns. I've always been interested in the effect since reading about it in Ansel's books, but of course T-Max 100 doesn't do anything like that. I briefly thought maybe the Efke would do it but never really "tried" to make it happen. I'll have to load up some more and see if I can do it again purposely.

Like +1!
I know well the disappearing rainbow problem with LF! Good catch.

Here is the processed lightning shot from Alstrom Point this month. shot at f4.5 so lightning is a bit soft. Next time I will go either f/16 or f/32. 75mm Nikkor on Tmax100 PyrocatHD. Yes, i was far away except for the one in the foreground.

Now, that is amazing, but scary!
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks. There were a couple bolts shot thru camp just above ground level and parallel to it. I caught those on my digital camera.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Very cool Steven. Is the foreground cropped, or both top and bottom?

I cropped a bit off the top and a fair amount from bottom. The lens showed it really needed a center spot filter in this image at f/4.5. I darkened the foreground as well, it wasn't that interesting.
