Have just scanned the slide; a reminder that to get the image to look right took quite a bit of work in photoshop. The previous versions posted look a bit oversharpened but are fine as originals.
Here's the new version: pretty similar, but a bit less time-consuming. The way I digitised with the Nikon pulled out more shadow detail in the rocks but I don't think the extra detail matters too much since the image is simplified a little without it.

That looks visibly more blue in the mountains, is it intended?
What's your scanning technique with color negatives instead?

Thing probably as intended, though I did add some saturation and work on targeted colour corrections in Silverfast to get it to start to work. For colour negs I now tend to use the NegaFix feature in Silverfast. Works pretty well inc with Ektar though a bit of work in curves with colour is still needed in photoshop to all the casts out. But don't expose much colour neg so haven't had that much experience.
