One of my favorite pastimes: Watch water run a long in a creek:

A couple of new 8x10 images from me (only the third and fourth sheets exposed!) to compare and contrast.
Both at Wittenham Clumps, Oxfordshire (a location made famous by British 20th-century abstract landscape painter Paul Nash), exposed a few minutes apart. No filters used, flat light, so test exposures really for the new kit.
Chamonix 810V, Nikkor-SW 150/8 and Nikkor-W 300/5.6; Ilford FP4+/Pyrocat HD 2:2:100/BTZS tubes, worked on a little / toned in photoshop.

Dave -- Two effective photos. Keep'em coming.
I like the first one a lot, good job.
Thanks guys. Now have to start getting real!
Loving how 8x10 really gets you thinking about the HOWS and WHYS not simply the WHATS.
'Life and art should have everything to do with each other... A photograph is the end product of someone caring about something "out there". The best photographs exude this caring attitude in a manner which is not definable but which is very evident... If nothing out there is utterly absorbing then a good photographer cannot exist. It's like trying to be a scuba diver in the midst of the Mohave desert...' (Bill Jay)
